Anchor Buddy Instructions
Setting Up Your Anchor Buddy
- Tie a secure loop in your anchor line about 8 to 10 meters from your anchor.
- Using the provided shackle, connect one end of the Anchor Buddy to the loop.
- Using the snap hook, attach the other end of the Anchor Buddy to a cleat or ring.
- Motor slowly toward the shore, choosing a position with a depth clear of the seabed during low tide.
Deploying and Using Anchor Buddy
- When you are about 10–15 meters from shore, drop your anchor and allow the Anchor Buddy to extend as you continue toward the beach.
- Go ashore with your line and pull firmly until the Anchor Buddy is fully extended and making sure your anchor is holding
- Step off your boat with your line.
- Then push the boat gently away from the beach and let the Anchor Buddy pull boat back into deeper water.
- Tie your line to a beach spike or sand anchor.
Retrieving Your Anchor Buddy
- Pull your line in until the boat returns to the shore.
- Remove the beach anchor and line, then get onboard.
- The Anchor Buddy will automatically pull your boat back into deeper water
- Start your motor, pull in your anchor.
- If the anchor is stuck, apply vertical tension and use the boat’s movement to free it.
