Dyneema (UHMWPE) Soft Shackles

PLEASE READ:
The stated diameter of a soft shackle refers to the diameter of the UHMWPE (Dyneema) rope used to construct the shackle. When the rope is doubled and fully buried during construction, the body of the shackle becomes approximately 70% larger in effective diameter than the original size.

However, the eye/loop at the top of the soft shackle remains a single piece, and therefore retains the original rope diameter and breaking load.

Proceans soft shackles are the modern alternative to conventional stainless shackles.

Note: soft shackles are not designed for lifting humans.

To open and close a soft shackle, follow these steps:

1. Grasp the loop end of the soft shackle in one hand and the knot end in the other hand.
2. Pull the loop end away from the knot end to loosen the shackle.
3. Slide the knot out of the loop, and you should now have an open shackle.
4. To close the shackle, slide the knot through the loop and pull the loop end tight.
5. Double-check the shackle to ensure it is properly closed and secure before use.
